10 Alchemies for piano and live-electronics

The piece is based on a reading and analysis of the poem Lilja, as well as the folk-tune which it is traditionally sung to. It was commissioned by the pianist Lilja María Ásmundsdóttir, who premiered it, with support from the Musica Nova composers' fund and RÚV & STEFs composer's fund.

The 10 movements consist of two Cycles. Cycle A (#1, #4, #7, #10) is a set of etudes; while Cycle B (#2, #3, #5, #6, #8, #9) is a set of variations.
